Georgia Rivas is a communications specialist who has accumulated a great deal of experience working in the fields of advertising, public relations, and publishing. She studied Advertising with a minor in Art History at the University of Florida, where she was also a Florida Cicerone Campus Ambassador and Speakers Director at the UF Advertising Society, AAF College Chapter.

Before establishing The Local Foreigner, she held multiple positions, such as Communications Extern at Facebook, Formerly Executive Assistant and Alumni Program Coordinator at Leadership Seminole, Project Coordinator and Assistant Editor at Maria Nunes Photography, Account Executive and Production Coordinator at CMB Advertising Limited, and Associate Editor and Community Liaison at Lake Mary Life/Oviedo-Winter Springs Life Magazines.

Georgia enjoys managing multiple parts of the story and using her curiosity to learn from and help others. She brings her ability to connect with interesting people and her love of planning (especially travel!) to each work endeavor.
