PACE Funding Group is a leading energy efficiency, water conservation and renewable energy finance company.  In addition to the standard responsibilities in accounting and human resources, I am branching out into capital markets with Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) bond generation, which are sold directly through forward flow arrangements or securitized in a private placement transactions.  I am excited to add my knowledge and expertise to the executive team while continuing to enhance my knowledge of environmentally friendly financing solutions.

Boostit was a mobile application start up located in Palo Alto, CA.  At Boostit you could make anything happen.  You simply boosted 'someone' to do 'something' by a 'specific date'.  Unfortunately the viral nature connection could not be made.    It was fun working on the back end finances of the application, along with the standard finance and administrative duties.

Creating/building the finance department for an exciting new company in the Green Tech space that sequesters CO2 in flue gas and produces carbon-negative building materials.  My main focus is providing the financial processes, tools and funding to successfully achieve the planned rapid growth.  This includes extensive financial planning, cash management, through a variety of vehicles (grants, equity, debt, etc.) and operations.

I was the Vice President of Finance at Ingenuity Systems, Inc., a QIAGEN Company.  Ingenuity is a SaaS company serving life science research and diagnostics.  They were privately held until acquired by QIAGEN in April 2013 (my transition period ended in November).  I started with Ingenuity shortly after they launched their first product.  Since then, headcount doubled, revenue multiplied by 5x, an international operations center was established and multiple products were launched.  Private funding included debt (AR, term, capital) and equity before the successful acquisition.    I reported to the CEO until 2010 and then to the CFO, until the acquisition. I was responsible for all accounting functions including financial planning and analysis, operations, and reporting.

I originally worked for Alopa, a small privately held communication company that was acquired by C-COR, a publically traded company (subsequently acquired by ARRIS).  After the Alopa acquisition I helped them acquire two additional companies and managed the financial integration of all three purchases (including an India subsidiary).    Operations were then moved to Oregon.

Connection to eBay (C2E) was a joint venture between Accenture and eBay designed to provide eBay store management services.  This was an extremely high growth environment.  Transactions per month increased from 1,000 to 20,000 and operations expanded into five countries.    C2E operated as a stand-alone business with a separate accounting system, but rolled up into Accenture for reporting purposes.  My main focus areas were management of multiple accounting system integrations, international expansion/integration and high transaction volume accounting.

Shoreline Communications is a voice-over IP software company that has since gone public under the name Shoretel.  Responsible for accounting operations and financial planning and analysis.  Closed private equity round and implemented AR credit facility.

Impresse Corporation was a privately held e-commerce company that didn’t make it through the <a href="http://dot.com">dot.com</a> boom.  This high growth start up increased from 30 to 230 employees and expanded into multiple countries.  I was responsible for all accounting functions, including system upgrade and preparation of S-1 Registration Statement.

After graduating from San Jose State University I joined Grant Thornton where I learned all about public accounting and obtained my CPA license.  During this time, I also worked on my graduate studies and received my MBA from San Jose State.  I was responsible for planning, supervising, and administering audit engagements for private, public and not-for-profit companies.  I also did a completed a tax rotation for one tax season.
