Watson Walter Ray is a notable journalist and producer, who has made great contributions in media. He is most popular for his work at NPR where he worked for several years as a Senior Producer and Supervising Senior Producer. A holder of a BA in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh, he is also a 2008 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. As a Senior Producer for The Race Card Project at NPR, Watson Walter Ray worked to produce insightful, thought-provoking stories and podcasts that explored the complexities of race and identity in America. He has also received several awards for his distinguished work in media including the prestigious Peabody Award in 2014, and the 2015 National Association of Black Journalists award.
