I joined Revinate as a Designer in 2013 and shortly after starting the position my boss
left the company and I stepped into that leadership role. I am responsible for carrying
the design team at a global company with 25,000 clients, 4 diferent products, and a
marketing engine to maintain. In my time there I have worked with almost every
department on projects ranging from corporate websites and mobile apps to
marketing materials and branding. Over the course of over two years I’ve taken a
growing company with lackluster design to the clear leader in the market and am
responsible for elevating quality across every facet of the brand.

I have also branched into being a mentor and manager to my team, which I greatly
enjoy. I have had to educate and evangelize the importance of design inside the
company, having to teach myself many new skills and simply jump in on an issue and
solve it. Most importantly, I’ve come to learn that great design is always closely related
to great process, which I have had to experiment with in addition to planning out
projects for future.

Freelance Designer

During my time at Yodle, I helped the creative side of the company go from a
nonexistent UX department to an 18 member team. My responsibilities included
working daily with developers, information architects, and project managers to develop
sites and materials for all aspects of the company. I was instrumental in establishing
and documenting brand standards and was the sole visual designer during a complete
redesign of the corporate site.

While at Yodle I had to think globally about solutions and the experience really
expanded my visual vocabulary to solve problems. I conducted weekly design
meetings, helped promote the importance of UX, and most importantly, drove the
company to be refected as a more cohesive, sophisticated brand.
