Cheryl Paswater is a multi-talented artist, fermentationist, and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. She holds multiple degrees, including an MFA in Painting from Pratt Institute and a Certification in Fermentation & Gut Ecology. Cheryl is a contributing writer for Edible Manhattan and has worked in several prestigious arts organizations, such as the Indianapolis Museum of Arts, Free Arts NYC and BRIC. Additionally, she has expertise in fermentation, food education, community-shared agriculture, food advocacy, cooking and old-world food preservation. With years of experience in arts education, she has taught at the Brooklyn Arts Council and 92nd Street Y, among others. She has exhibited her work in galleries across the US, from New York to California. Cheryl Paswater's varied skill set continues to inspire and shape her unique approach.
