Responsibilities:•	Preparation and review of data packs, inspection and acceptance for integration of Combat System equipment into the Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) platform.•	Preparation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) for changes to the Combat System engineering baseline.•	Identification of drawing change and preparation of work packs for Air Warfare Destroyer platform construction.Achievements:•	Successful completion of major ECP for change to the Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) subsystem.•	Cleared a significant backlog of structural and equipment foundation drawing change that was affecting cost and schedule of ship building activity.

Responsibilities:•	Overall leadership, general management and business development for Sirenus, a technology startup company developing the Sirenus social media monitoring & crowdsourcing app.•	Research, development, project management & systems engineering of Sirenus.•	Development of business plan, financial projections and pitch to customers and investors.Achievements:•	Finalist, Telstra Innovation Challenge 2011 in the Open and People’s Choice categories.

Sirenus

Responsibilities:•	Engineering leadership of the Combat Management System (CMS) System Safety Program.•	Technical planning and management of the System Safety Program’s activities.Achievements:•	Established an AWD program wide procedure for dealing with safety of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) equipment, saving significant time for other safety teams within the program.•	Established a consistent methodology for handling Cadmium coated connectors on Combat System equipment used across the AWD Combat System reducing time and increasing compliance with safety controls.

Combat Management System Safety Lead

Responsibilities:•	Engineering leadership, technical planning and management of a team of six engineers in the Undersea Warfare Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team through Preliminary Design and associated reviews.•	Review of engineering baselines and engineering change proposals (ECP) for the Undersea Warfare Subsystem.Achievements:•	Successfully guided the Undersea Warfare Subsystem through Preliminary Design Review (PDR) on time with no major issues identified.•	Established and architectural model of the Undersea Warfare Subsystem using SysML and Enterprise Architect and co-authored a paper on this at the SETE 2010 conference, receiving a Raytheon Achievement Award.•	Developed the security architecture for the Undersea Warfare Subsystem that became the benchmark security architecture design for the AWD program.

Responsibilities:•	Design Authority for the Combat System Land Based Support System and the Combat System Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) program under the Naval Technical Regulatory System (Level 4 Design Authority).•	Engineering leadership of a team of over twenty Systems and ILS engineers developing the Combat System Support System.•	Technical planning of the Air Warfare Destroyer Support Segment team scope of work including developing a detailed schedule, budget and resource plan.Achievements:•	Developed concepts for the Combat System Through Life Support Facility (CS TLSF), Command Team Trainer (CTT) and other support system elements. Successfully advocated for inclusion in the program leading to $60M of additional work.•	Successfully led the Support System team through the AWD System Functional Review resolving difficult issues regarding Support System scope which led to the successful establishment of the AWD Functional Baseline and the project’s first major milestone payment.

Responsibilities:•	Deputy Senior Design Engineer (Design Authority) for the RF and signal processing in the OTHRSPO Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) under the Royal Australian Air Force Technical Airworthiness Management (TAMM) Technical Regulatory System.•	Organisation technical authority for RF and signal processing in Over-the-Horizon (OTH) Radar systems.Achievements:•	Prepared the JORN Phase 5 Function and Performance Specification (FPS) for First and Second Pass approval by the Australian Government unlocking approximately $70M in funding.•	Lead a team studying out-of-band emissions limits for FMCW radars as Australian representative in International Telecommunications Union (ITU) working group JRG 1A-1C-8B – Radar Out-of-Band Emissions.

Responsibilities:•	System engineering and testing for a number of significant upgrades to Jindalee Over-the-Horizon Radar at Alice Springs including the Frequency Management System, Digital Waveform Generator, Digital Receiver & Coordinate Registration System.Achievements:•	Development of the Frequency Management System upgrade Y2K bug testing program that became the benchmark for Y2K bug testing programs in BAE Systems Australia.

Responsibilities:•	Development of techniques for remote Single Station Location (SSL) of HF radio transmitters using ionospheric prediction and modelling of HF sky-wave propagation.Achievements:•	Development and sale of SSL systems to PNG and Pakistan Navy as part of Celtic High Frequency Direction Finder systems.
