Antony Brown
Antony Brown, a mental health entrepreneur with 18 years of experience in the NHS and founder of CBT Clinics Group, has won multiple industry awards for innovation, client care, and outstanding patient outcomes. His career interests revolve around working with passionate people dedicated to mental, behavioral, and emotional healthcare. Brown's strong belief in compassionate leadership and positive workplace cultures helped him grow his start-up to become the UK's largest independent outpatient mental health company before it was acquired early 2019.
With a focus on developing technology-enabled behavioral health solutions, Brown led successful pilot projects for the first telehealth model and online CBT, among others. His efforts led to the £170M roll-out of IAPT across NHS England, as well as reducing waiting times from 24 months to one week in the top ten regions of economic deprivation in the EU. Brown received the "Outstanding Achievement of the Year" Award at the Personal Injury Awards in 2019.
In addition to his entrepreneurial experience, Brown was a lecturer, trainer, and clinical supervisor at the Department of Health Sciences, University of York, and Group Clinical Supervisor-Psychologists in Training Program at York Mental Health NHS Trust. He also spent several years as a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist in the NHS.
