He is also an accomplished writer/editor of learning resources, a translator, a translation trainer and consultant, and a professor of Bible. He has built a career on empowering learners through experiential and applied pedagogy, with teaching that is dialogical and learner-centered.

Aiming to create a trusting atmosphere that encourages discovery and explores the intersections of language, culture, and cognition, Steve Berneking is highly skilled and knowledgeable in biblical studies, teaching, biblical languages, translation, writing, editing, and speaking. His dedication to his craft led him to study for his Ph.D. at Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
