Julia Wu is an accomplished financial operating system builder, passionate about entrepreneurship and computer science. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science-Economics from Brown University, Wu has held various engineering roles at Brex, Apple Siri, and Microsoft. She started her career as a software engineering intern at Microsoft before joining Brex, where she eventually became an Engineering Manager. At Brex, Wu worked on Rewards, Fraud, Card Growth, APIs, and expense management. Her academic and personal projects have earned her funding and scholarships from leading tech companies such as Pioneer, Google, Facebook, and Square.

Wu is a first-generation college graduate and multilingual native speaker of Portuguese and Mandarin. In college, she founded a student organization focused on women's empowerment and served as the President of Women in Computer Science and Women in Business. Wu fell in love with hackathons during her college years and has continued participation since then.
