Alyson Mattoon

Alyson Mattoon is a highly experienced and accomplished professional with a diverse background in movement education, dance, and Pilates. Alyson holds certifications in Pilates from Body Arts and Science International and has a BA in Liberal Arts from LEAP Saint Mary's College of California as part of her academic background. She has worked with various organizations, notably as an Independent Movement Educator at Pilates with Aly and as the Creator of BodyBPM™ at BodyBPM™.

Throughout her career, Alyson has showcased her talents in the dance industry, having been a Professional Dancer at Clairobscur Dance Company and a former Professional Ballet Dancer at both Monat Dance and State Street Ballet. Her passion for dance extends beyond performance as she has also served as a Dance Professor at Westmont College. Additionally, Alyson has shared her expertise as a Dancing Through Parkinson's Teacher at Invertigo Dance Theatre.

In the realm of Pilates instruction, Alyson has honed her skills over the years, having worked as an Independent Pilates, Dance, and Gyrotonic® Teacher at The Moving Joint, a Pilates Instructor at Equinox, Body Insight, and Studio 613. Her solid foundation in Pilates is evident in her study of Certified Pilates Instructor at Body Arts and Science International. Alyson's dedication to movement education is further highlighted by her academic pursuits, including studies at the Virginia School of the Arts.
