Jeff Toyne is a talented Canadian-born composer, whose remarkable compositions are well-known in the film and television industry. He has many specialties which include film and television composition, music composition, and orchestration. With his unique voice, Toyne blends orchestral virtuosity with cutting-edge music technology, providing each of his works with its own distinctive sound. Currently, he is scoring the fifth season of DirecTV's popular series, Rogue. Toyne has several impressive credit scores to his name, including scores for Abel’s Field (2013), Twist of Faith (2013), Dirty Girl (2011), Blooded (2010, co-written with Ilan Eshkeri), and 10 Years Later (2009). He has worked on several TV projects as well, including Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story (2011), which won the Canadian Screen Award for Best TV Movie, nominated for Best Score and winner of the MPSE Golden Reel Award, and The Devil You Know (Investigation Discovery, 2010-2013). Toyne has won numerous awards and distinctions over the years; he was named one of Playback Magazine's "Ten to Watch" in 2011 and was accepted as one of six composers to attend the prestigious Sundance Composers Lab in 2007. Toyne is an alumnus of the University of Southern California, where he studied Certificate, Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television. He has also been commissioned by organizations such as the Canadian Armed Forces, for which he composed "Splendor Sine Occasu," the Official March of the British Columbia Brigade. Toyne divides his time between Los Angeles and Vancouver.
