Dulma Altan is the founder of Makelane, a MasterClass for women entrepreneurs with a mission to empower millions of women to start successful businesses in every industry, with a focus on ecommerce. Dulma and her team provide courses, content and community to help women learn from expert mentors, hosting over 80 live classes to date. She is also the founder of Startup Stork, which encourages people to throw business showers for female entrepreneurs. Having studied Business and Entrepreneurship at the Université de Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, Dulma went on to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies at Brown University. Prior to founding Makelane, she worked as a Venture Partner at Republic, CEO of Potion, Head of Growth at Crowdcast.io, Associate Account Strategist at Google, and Strategy Intern at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners. Dulma is also a former Vice President at Brown Venture Labs and a Certified Yoga Instructor & Co-Coordinator at Yoga and Mindfulness (YAM). She has been featured in The New York Times and Business Insider, and also runs a weekly newsletter profiling rising female founders called How She Built This.
