Katelyn Beaty is a prolific writer, speaker, and editor with a decade of experience in online and print publishing. She worked as the Managing Editor of Christianity Today magazine for four years, becoming the youngest and first female to hold this position. During her tenure, Katelyn mastered various editorial strategies while developing profound writing, public speaking, and communication skills.
Apart from her work at Christianity Today, Katelyn co-founded the website Her.meneutics and served as Editorial Director of This Is Our City, a documentary article and film series hosted by CT. She has also written on faith, politics, and culture for many prestigious publications, including The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Religion & Politics, Religion News Service, and The Washington Post. Katelyn has spoken at the Chautauqua Institution, Princeton Theological Seminary, Q Ideas Conference, the Festival of Faith and Writing, Fordham University, the American Academy of Religion, and several churches and colleges.
Katelyn is also an author, having authored "A Woman's Place: A Christian Vision for Your Calling in the Office, the Home, and the World." It was published in 2016 by Howard / Simon & Schuster and is now available in paperback with an accompanying DVD / Bible study guide.
Currently, Katelyn serves as the Senior Acquisitions Editor for Brazos Press, a division of Baker Publishing Group. She had also served as an Acquisitions Editor (part-time) at InterVarsity Press in the past.
