Deena Shakir is a seasoned venture capitalist and accomplished entrepreneur with an impressive background spanning the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. After self-funding her undergraduate degree at Harvard and completing a master's program at Georgetown, Deena went on to lead social impact investments at Google.org and direct product partnerships at Google for health, search, and AI/ML. She then transitioned to GV, formerly Google Ventures, where she was a partner before joining Lux Capital as a partner. She now invests in transformative technologies that improve lives and livelihoods, with a diverse portfolio spanning women's health, digital health infrastructure, health equity, foodtech, and fintech.
