Cai Thorman, a well-educated scholar, has an expansive background in academia, language studies, and archaeology. Thorman has studied in Berlin, France, Greece, and Turkey, receiving certificates in German and French language studies and TEFL. They also hold a Ph.D. candidacy and M.A. in the Study of Religion, and an M.A. in Ancient History & Mediterranean Archaeology. They have served as a Provost's Dissertation Year Fellow at UC Davis, an Associate Instructor and Visiting Lecturer at UC Davis, and a Lecturer at the University of Pacific. Thorman has also worked in research, fieldwork, and consultation in archaeology, illustration, and conservation.
