Alexandra Strong
Alexandra Strong is a highly educated and accomplished aerospace engineer, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Engineering Education at Florida International University's College of Engineering & Computing. With a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and Information Technology from MIT, an M.S. in Systems and Information Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Strong's extensive academic education is backed up by years of real-world experience. She has served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Georgia Tech, an NSF Engineering Innovation Program Fellow at Boeing, and an Innovation Department Intern through the MIT-SPAIN Program at Iberdrola.
Prior to her current position directing engineering education at FIU, Dr. Strong was an Assistant Professor of Systems Design and Engineering at Olin College of Engineering. Her professional interests are wide-ranging but are ultimately focused on fostering creativity and innovation in STEM fields. By helping to lead the next generation of engineers and aerospace experts, she is helping to shape the future of flight technology and aeronautics.
