Working within the Colorado Snowsports Museum and Hall of Fame, and founding the Colorado Snowboard Archive.  After recruiting David Alden and Kurt Olesek in the mission, we opened the doors after many years of planning and a solid year of installation to incredible reviews. The entire museum has just finalized a multi-million dollar renovation, and is free and open to the public.The Out There exhibit spans the early innovations/innovators in snowboarding, from the Lazboard forward. Worked within global Fenix brand portfolio structure Fjallraven, Primus, Hanwag, and Tierra to create a portable-power ecosystem under the Brunton brand. Products included hydrogen-based and solar, rechargeable portable power for professional, consumer, and GoPro products, LightWAVE Bluetooth-driven lighting and sound, and USB-powered FIR carbon-fiber personal heating systems. Greatly expanded knowledge-base outside of apparel and was engaged all aspects of design, development, production, global launches, and presentations, taking an innovation and technology-based approach to help modernize a 100+ year old navigation brand.

Brandbase was the parent company of the brands Nomis, Technine and SOUND, in the lifestyle and snowboard markets and created men’s and women’s streetwear, technical outerwear, snowboards, and bindings.  Brandbase products were sold in more than 30 countries globally.Responsible for the design, development, and manufacture of all Brandbase products, from initial concept to commercialization.  Treating brand as a product, created and managed marketing and sales strategies to increase sell-in and sell-through through a distribution system of traditional brick and mortar retail and internet based retailers.Identified and managed manufacturing sources in the United States, China, Taiwan, and Korea, with costing, timeline, and quality as driving factors resulting in increased margins and a very low rate of defective returns.

Co-founded Section Clothing Company, which later acquired Technine snowboarding.  Responsible for all product design/development output from technical apparel to streetwear, including all branding and id systems.Created the revolutionary Section Progression Systems outerwear feature set, (SPS) which includes 4 patents pending and many features exclusive to Section that provided the innovative basis for explosive growth on a global scale.Assumed responsibility of the design and development process of snowboards and bindings, resulting in increased sales of 20x in 3 years.

Joined Burton Snowboards and was responsible for providing technical design, color, and merchandising for their outerwear, base layer, and glove products, acting as Creative Manager for all Softgoods.Co-founded, (with Troy Bush, and Greg Dachyshyn) designed, named, and branded Analog clothing, which remains a leading specialty-focused snowboard and streetwear division of the Burton corporation. Initiated the Burton product development transition from hand drawn/faxed design and development to purely digital, cutting both development time and expense and increasing quality.While at Burton, sales of softgoods increased in sales many times over resulting in the capture of more than 50% of the total worldwide snowboard apparel marketshare.  Co-designed and was granted a patent for Burton’s Active Lining System, which was the technical outerwear market’s first lining system providing targeted insulative or cooling properties in an apparel system now adopted by many brands in the industry.Designed the Gore-Tex jacket that was used to create the Amp jacket, the world’s first iPod controlling wearable electronics apparel.

Represented the snowboard industry on the SIA Board of Directors alongside Jake Burton Carpenter in a pivotal time in snowboarding's development. He sat with many legends of the snow industry, including Klaus Obermeyer, David Jacobs, Hugh Harley, Mike Brunetto, Stu Keiller, and a long list of other innovators and renegades.

Co-founded Twist Clothing Company.  Together with partners Troy Bush, Amani King, Justin Hostynek, and Evan Hecox, Twist was an early innovator in the street and snow apparel markets, and becoming the #2 specialty brand in the snowboard market specialty shop penetration behind Burton. Twist was one of the first brands to take design, art, music, travel, and lifestyle in equal parts to create an all-inclusive global lifestyle brand that went on to inspire many current labels around the world.Worked on countless design projects from outerwear to the Twist sunglass brand launched in partnership with Bausch & Lomb and later Lantis Eyewear.Introduced many innovations to the snowboard market, including the first snowboard specific integration of such mainstay features as venting zips, waist gaiters, and component systems, as well as the first women's specific snowboard outerwear jackets and pants under the Twist name.Co-created Tuesday clothing, a division of Twist, one of the first women’s specific snowboard apparel lines in the market which became snowboarding’s #1 women’s specific brand.

Wave Rave in Boulder, CO was one of the first specialty snowboard shops on the planet.  It also became an early innovator in the fledgling snowboard apparel market. Created the first pair of Wave Rave snowboard pants, helping lead to the creation of the Wave Rave clothing brand.

Born into the outdoor industry, Trent’s father was one of the first employees of Frostline, one of the most important early American outdoor companies, which was a trail-blazing precursor and major influence on most of the brands available in the outdoor industry today. Created in the 1960’s from an outdoor-brand lineage reaching back to the 1920’s, Frostline was primarily a kit brand, based on the DIY spirit of the “sew it yourself” era of technical outerwear. As a part of the extended Frostline family, Trent grew up absorbing many aspects of an outdoor industry brand, and the entrepreneurial spirit needed to make things happen, which are lessons he carries to this day.
