Jarrod Dunham
Jarrod Dunham is a dedicated English Literature and Composition professor with extensive experience teaching a wide range of writing courses. He earned his Bachelor's degree in English and a postbaccalaureate certificate in Black Studies from Portland State University, where he also completed his Master's degree in Rhetoric and Composition. He has a BS in Economics from the University of Oregon. Jarrod has a particular interest in non-dominant dialects of English and their place in the classroom, the impact of assessment on student learning, and the role of academic spaces in expanding opportunities for discourse.
Jarrod has taught writing courses at Portland Community College, University of Portland, Clackamas Community College, and Portland State University. He has also worked as a graduate assistant and writing instructor at PSU. Jarrod has experience in operations and research analysis, market analysis and writing, research editing, and staff writing. He worked at several organizations, including Northwest Pipe Company, Greenlight Greater Portland, and Austinist.com.
