Adam Svec
Adam Svec is an accomplished audiology professional with a diverse background in research, academia, and industry. He holds a Doctor of Audiology and a Ph.D. in Audiology/Audiologist from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where he also served as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. Adam also graduated from Luther College with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Dance.
Adam's professional journey has included positions as a Research Hearing Scientist at the Center for Applied and Translational Sensory Science - GN Hearing / University of Minnesota, Audiology Extern at Medical University of South Carolina, and Audiology Feature Manager at Starkey Hearing Technologies. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor at San Jose State University, where he is dedicated to educating future audiology professionals.
Throughout his career, Adam's research interests have focused on hearing loss and hearing aid technology, including the use of machine learning and signal processing to improve speech perception in noise. He has a passion for audiology and is committed to making hearing healthcare more accessible and effective for individuals with hearing challenges.
