Joanna Dyer, an MBA graduate in Sustainable Business from Pinchot, is an experienced waste management and sustainability professional with over 10 years of experience. Joanna started her career in outdoor education as a Nature Explorer's Club Director at the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District and later became an Outdoor Education Instructor at Horizons for Youth. She transitioned to non-profit work at SCRAP, where she developed programs in education, retail operations, and communications. Joanna has skills in program design and development, project management, marketing/outreach, report writing, team leadership, event planning, employee engagement, change management, stakeholder engagement, materials management, and government relations. She has worked for leading organizations like City of Beaverton, Clackamas County, and Metro. At Metro, she is presently working as the Solid Waste Authorization Coordinator after serving as the Interim Solid Waste Authorizations Coordinator and the Program Assistant, Solid Waste Operations. Joanna has experience working in various positions, making her a versatile professional capable of adapting to new roles in different industries.
