Tom Nijs is a PhD candidate at Utrecht University who specializes in understanding attitudes towards society, particularly ethnic groups, through the use of statistics and creativity. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen and his Master’s degree with honors in Migration, Ethnic Relations, and Multiculturalism from Utrecht University. Prior to his current role, Nijs worked as a student assistant at ERCOMER at both universities, as well as an intern at Verwey-Jonker Instituut. He has also served as an ambassador for Radboud University Nijmegen and worked as an editor/reporter for Jimmy Alter and a tutor for Bijlesnetwerk. Nijs seeks to further his research in understanding society and ethnic groups and apply his findings to the benefit of society.
