Donald Carpenter
Donald Carpenter brings over 40 years of experience in radiological projects and has wide expertise in environmental waste management, geochemistry, and geostatistics. He has played a significant role in managing and technically contributing to decommissioning and demolition projects such as nuclear reactors and spent fuel storage analysis. He is a former State of Michigan TENORM Subcommittee member who has prepared regulations and policy recommendations, resulting in creating new legislation. Donald has experience in providing litigation support to radiologically impacted sites, modeling treatment processes associated with the remediation of radiologically contaminated sediments, and developing cost estimations. He has studied Associate’s Degree, Physical Sciences at Lansing Community College and obtained an M.S. in Geochemistry from Colorado School of Mines and a B.S. in Geology from Michigan State University. Currently serving as Senior Vice President / Distinguished National Expert (Geochemistry) - Chief Geochemist at ARCADIS, he has previously worked as a Vice President at Earth Tech, Principal Geochemist and Department Manager at MACTEC, Senior Principal Geochemist at Morrison Knudsen, and more.
