In 2010, Matteo joined a brand strategy agency in Milan, where he worked with renowned brands and top-tier clients. While climbing the corporate ladder and gaining experience in various roles, including working for Nasdaq-listed companies and Shopify, he realized that he was not truly fulfilled.

In a quest to find himself and pursue his true passions, Matteo decided to make a daring change. He temporarily put his side e-commerce business on autopilot and embarked on a transformative journey. He traveled to an Indian Ashram, seeking spiritual growth and enlightenment. Upon his return, he unleashed his creativity by producing four music albums and touring across Europe.

Harnessing his newfound self-awareness and creativity, Matteo co-founded a natural cosmetic company and an e-commerce accelerator, which provided him with valuable learnings and insights. However, his quest for fulfillment and ambition led him to even greater endeavors.

Teaming up with two former colleagues from Shopify, Matteo co-founded seven direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands under the Popup umbrella. As a bootstrap operation with a meager initial investment of $1000, these brands achieved astonishing success, collectively generating revenue of up to $16 million.
