Lead Engineer and Infrastructure Project Manager Enterprise MS Exchange 2013 Hybrid Migration to Office 365 for approximately 3000 mailboxes.  Conducted requirements and project assessment, reviewing limits and best practices to ensure the servers, network and active directory were in place to get performance and behavior before during and after the migration. Goal was to maintain on premise exchange environment while maintaining a 365 cloud environment creating scripted batch files based on several factors in deciding who gets moved over and at which time makes sense.  Real world environment utilized ADFS Federated Servers, Directory Sync Server, Exchange 2013, Microsoft Azure Virtual servers and AD (Active Directory).  Utilized the Office 365 Hybrid Migration wizard as main migration tool, ensuring MX records, auto discover, valid third party certificates, working end-points and availability of synced Active Directory.  Created a full simulation lab environment for real world simulation using virtualization (VMWARE) to combine services of Exchange 2013, Azure, Active Directory Federated Server and Domain Controller. Successfully tested global address list (GAL) synchronization, office rules, calendar and mailbox delegation, user administrative information, fully functional on premise and 365 mailbox communication to and from Exchange and 365, ActiveSync and automatic smartphone configuration.  Was able to perform migration with no user intervention after migrating and completing mailbox move.  Also, tested moving mailboxes back to on premise server and created spreadsheets that outlined mailboxes moved, performance of network during migration and tracking licensing.  Worked extensively using power shell and exchange management shell and power shell for 365, creating scripts to give credible information such as total mailbox sizes, mailbox delegation, distribution group memberships etc.

Contracted to perform complete overhaul of existing datacenter. - The National Platform Project was a strategic, $20-million Data Warehouse initiative deploying a Central Infrastructure, Storage Area Network (SAN) including Data Mining tools, designed to give guided, on-line analysis, interactive process, with easy to understand results 7x24x365. The project comprised a full architectural design and build of redundant SAN in two geographically dispersed data centers utilizing 15 SUN 6500 Servers with VERITAS Clustering Software including a 6 Tb EMC frame for Business Continuance Snapshots of data storage. Versions of software included Oracle 8.17, Solaris 8, VERITAS Volume Manager 3.2 and VERITAS Client Manager 3.4.  Business requirements called for a complete fail over capability and disaster recovery, as well as system maintenance, monitoring, and performance reporting. Responsibilities of the project involved creating and managing all aspects of $20 million budget, activity and progress reports concerning the various telecommunications sections, budget tracking, reconciliation analysis and the development of a Plan Build and Run Support teams.  Project completed as scheduled with successful transition from development platform to support.  Currently the Project is in full production and conducted and audit on the budget resulting in a savings of $5 million in amortized asset and service costs.

An active duty service member with a Top secret position as a nuclear weapons technician, I was selected by the Deputy Commander for maintenance for the 39 Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Group as the Program Manager for Department of Defense Nuclear Surety Personnel Reliability Program at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey.The program is a security, medical and psychological evaluation program, designed to permit only the most trustworthy individuals to have access to nuclear weapons (NPRP), chemical CPRP), and biological weapons (BPRP). We were responsible to ensure nuclear weapons shall not be subject to loss, theft, sabotage, unauthorized use, unauthorized destruction, unauthorized disablement, jettison, or accidental damage. During the outbreak of Desert Storm, the program took on all foreign military and troops deployed to Turkey for the support of the war. At the close of the war in 1990, I received recognition from the Inspector general for outstanding performance. My primary responsibility was to track each and every individual’s certification status and make recommendations to the commander to reinstate or temporarily or permanently decertify an individual. The program required me to keep all records of actions, recommendations and commander’s decisions and report quarterly to the Inspector Prior to that I was a trained Minuteman Mark 12a senior technician.  Performing regular maintenance on the Re-entry System.
