With a diverse and extensive career, Karen has held key positions at renowned organizations. Presently, she serves as the Vice President & General Counsel at Sandoz, a prominent company in the healthcare industry.

Before her current role, Karen McDonnell held the position of VP and Head, Legal Generics at Sandoz Inc., showcasing her expertise and leadership abilities within the legal sector of the pharmaceutical field.

Prior to her tenure at Sandoz, Karen McDonnell contributed significantly to the success of GE Healthcare. She served as the General Counsel at GE Healthcare Life Sciences and also held roles such as Chief Compliance Counsel, Associate General Counsel for Compliance, and Senior Counsel specializing in compliance in the Life Sciences division.

Karen also gained valuable legal experience at Wyeth, where she held the positions of Vice President and Chief Counsel at Wyeth Research, and Deputy Chief Counsel specializing in research. Her legal prowess was further honed during her time as Partner and Associate in Health Effects Litigation at Pepper Hamilton LLP.
