Business Sales Manager - Philosophy

- Financially responsible for the growth and development of 36 brands with annual volume of $125M+.	Negotiate with Brands on terms, inventory returns, launch/exit strategies and participation in Sephora specific initiatives.  	Collaborate with cross functional partners from inventory planning, marketing, education, store/retail OPS, visual and dotcom to execute new brand launches, new product launches, fragrance specific animations, category/window animations and brand distortions.	Manage our Fragrance Sephora Favorites program which includes assortment development, design of program (packaging, tray, booklet, certificate, etc) while still ensuring that the cost/retail are still in line with our category margins.  This brand continues to be a top ranking brand for Sephora and experiences double digit growth year over year.  	Partner with a number of small niche brands on product development.  This ranges from what products are right for the Sephora client to what the design of the product and packaging looks like.    	Negotiate internally for brand placement within window animations, exposure on towers, Sephora Hot Now and our Beauty – To – Go assortment, and marketing initiatives such as catalogs, scent pieces, etc.	Manage brand assortments to achieve the highest level of productivity thru analysis and sku re-assortment.   	On-boarded 3 new people in fragrance in the last year and have continued to foster their development.  Currently have 2 direct reports.	Work on a number of different internal ad hoc projects inclusive of participation in a number of task forces, piloting the transition of RTV’s from merchandising to inventory, lead the fragrance team in the transition of the implementation of 2 new assortment programs.

SEPHORA

Associate Merchant

- Financially responsible for the growth and development of 12 brands inclusive of Sephora Favorites, Versace, Lancôme, Clean, Boyfriend, Anna Sui and 4 niche brands.  Annual volume $25M.	Management of 35 brands within the Traditional Fragrance Category supporting the Director. Annual volume $190M.	Negotiate with Brands on terms, inventory returns, launch/exit strategies and participation in Sephora specific initiatives e.g Sephora Favorites program, Black Friday, Beauty to Go, Sephora Hot Now.  	Collaborate with cross functional partners from inventory, marketing, education, store/retail OPS, visual and dotcom to execute new brand launches, launch space animations, category animations and brand distortions.	Manage brand assortments to achieve the highest level of productivity thru analysis and sku re-assortment.

- Within the first six months, sold over $2 Million in sales, with sales continuing to increase.	Identified the needs and wants of buyers and sellers and work/negotiate to successfully meet their needs and wants. 	Established positive flow of communication with other agents, buyers and sellers, mortgage officers, title personnel and attorneys involved in the home buying and selling process. 	Coordinate property closings, ensure all paperwork is complete and filed and all terms of the contract are met and oversee signing of documents

- Managed over 100 stores within Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and Utah which is a $2.4 Million business. 	Trained the store associates at each location along with merchandising the watches.	Responsible for all communication from Coach corporate to reach the stores/associates, ensuring promotions run smoothly and finding creative ways to increase sales and motivate the staff.	A large part of my job included building great rapport with all the department managers, watch strikers and watch specialists.  This was crucial so that the associates would always look after your brand and keep the cases looking exceptional.

- Managed Fashion Watch category, under the Director of Luxury, which is a $40 Million business.	Maintained the integrity of all worldwide assortment girds, ensuring all SKU’s are authorized/created accordingly.	Facilitated and conducted vendor meetings.	Negotiated vendor funding and coordinating vendor visits/training and also managing vendor relationships.	Managed all high profile promotions, provided sales updates to the Divisions on progress and results.	Negotiated, created, maintained and invoiced all Vendor Support Term’s.	Developed brand sales plans and participated in monthly Merchandise Review.
