Prahlad Menon is an accomplished engineering professor and AI consultant/data scientist with numerous successful projects under his belt, including predictive maintenance of medical equipment and developing data-driven solutions for derailment risk analytics for the railroads. Based in the Greater Pittsburgh area, his EBIT-affecting data science projects have had a positive impact on organizations across various industries, such as financial forecasting, predictive maintenance, and algorithmic trading. Menon is skilled in algorithmic forecasting, image processing, statistical modeling, and machine learning, among other areas. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles focused on physics-based computational modeling, machine learning, and statistical modeling of shapes and appearance. Menon holds degrees from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, as well as both an MS in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He was previously a tenure-track faculty member of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and currently serves as an adjunct professor with the University of Pittsburgh. Menon is also experienced with Big Data Analytics frameworks, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and text analytics using natural language processing. He is an expert programmer proficient in R, Python, Matlab, and SAS, with clinical trials and research expertise.
