David Mallin is a highly experienced cinematographer, visual media specialist, and educator. He studied for his MFA in Cinematography at the American Film Institute and for his BA in Visual Media at American University. In addition to his academic background, Mallin has worked for various organizations, including Cloudchaser Films LLC, Semester at Sea/ ISE, and Virginia Tech, among others. He has excelled in many professional areas, including post-production workflow, Documentary Production, Story Development and Digital Cinema, and has an excellent aptitude for Lighting, HD, and Film.

Mallin is currently Film Program Director and Associate Professor at Old Dominion University. He has also served as Program Director and Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University, Cinematography Mentor at the International Academy of Film & Television, AV Coordinator at Semester At Sea/ISE, and Multimedia TSE at Silicon Graphics, among others. Mallin is a versatile cinematographer with years of experience in the field that makes him an ideal professional to work with.
