Robert Swim is a professional with vast experience in historical preservation. With a Bachelor's Degree in History, General, and a Master of Arts, History, he has worked with museums, community organizations, and even the movie industry, providing his expertise in preservation, restoration, and authenticating technology. Throughout his career, Swim has served as a historical technical advisor, carried out research, taught historical skills, and overseen preservation and restoration projects. He has worked in preserving over a dozen original log structures and advised on over forty historical structures. Swim has also held various roles such as 1890's Site Manager/Blacksmith Lead at George Ranch Museum, former Curatorial Technician at Texas Memorial Museum, and former assistant Facilities Manager at the University of Illinois. His interests cover history, science, technology, anthropology, and engineering.
