Wendy Carrillo, an accomplished journalist and communications professional, is a congressional candidate for California's 34th congressional district. She obtained a BA in Rhetorical Communication from California State University, Los Angeles and an MA in Specialized Journalism from the University of Southern California. With a diverse range of experience, Carrillo has worked as an Anchor/Producer at First Look Media, a West Coast Correspondent for Univision Communications Inc. and a Writer / Digital Producer at NUVOtv, among other positions. She has also worked as a Media Surrogate for Obama for America and as Communications & Social Media Deputy for the City of Los Angeles. Carrillo's experience in both media and politics sets her apart from other candidates in the race to replace Rep. Xavier Becerra.
