Renee Schicker is a highly knowledgeable and experienced GIS specialist with a background in Earth Science. She earned her MSc(Hons) first class and her BSc(Tech) degrees from the University of Waikato, where she studied Earth Sciences. Before landing her current role as Senior GIS Specialist at Beca, she held similar positions at WSP Opus, NZ Transport Agency, Opus International Consultants Limited, and The University of Waikato. She also gained valuable experience as a GIS Technician at Lincoln Ventures Ltd and a Drainage district investigator at Waikato District Council, in New Zealand.

Schicker's expertise lies in geospatial analysis, geospatial data management, and GIS mapping. She is also experienced with a variety of GIS software programs, including ArcGIS, QGIS, and Global Mapper. In addition, she has strong research skills and has contributed to scientific publications. Her previous positions have involved working with a variety of clients, including government agencies, private businesses, and academic institutions.
