Jane Applegate is an award-winning journalist, author, production consultant, and career coach with over 20 years of on-set production experience. She has produced multiple award-winning films, including the festival favorite "To Keep the Light," and offers online career coaching services to aspiring filmmakers and mid-career professionals. Jane is also a podcast producer and teaches the business of film course at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College.

She is the Chair of External Events for the Women Independent Producers and an active member of NY Women in Film and Television. In addition to her production consulting work, Jane is also a seasoned journalist and author of five books, her most recent being "Hair on Fire: An Insider's Guide to Producing for the Big and Small Screen." When she's not working on film projects, Jane indulges in her passion for gardening, particularly weeding.

Education-wise, Jane Applegate is a graduate of San Diego State University, where she studied Journalism, receiving both a Bachelor of Arts and a BA in Journalism.
