Marco Bantog-Ignacio

Meet Marco Bantog Ignacio, a promising entrepreneur and startup enthusiast. As the CEO and Co-Founder of Cherripick, he's doing a lot to reduce food waste through cashback incentives for buying short-dated groceries. His EFJ personality makes him a natural problem solver, willing to tackle what he calls "white flag issues" - problems that cause customers to surrender.

Ignacio's academic background is as impressive as his professional experience. He studied Sport Management and Marketing at Florida State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He also studied Sports Management for his Master's degree, maintaining a 3.5 GPA throughout his studies.

Ignacio is a Y Combinator Startup School alumnus who has held various positions, including Athletic Director and Sales & Marketing Associate. He also served as a Resident Assistant at FSU Housing, and for a short stint, as Promotion Specialist at Winn-Dixie. Afterward, he worked as a Strategic Marketing Specialist, Category Marketing Manager, and Shopper Marketing Manager for Southeastern Grocers, where he was responsible for the marketing and distribution strategies of various brands.

Ignacio's leadership at GratSee, a marketing and promotions startup he co-founded, improved his profile in the business world. All of his experiences have enhanced his skills in marketing, production, leadership, and team building.
