Dianne Finch is a renowned data visualization consultant and educator with a passion for communications. Having studied both economics and journalism, Finch has a unique perspective and expertise in effective data mining, munging, and visualizing. She also possesses a software development and IT background, which further amplifies her exceptional abilities in data visualization. Finch has been a Fulbright Specialist in Auckland, New Zealand and a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT, where she has honed her exceptional skills in data journalism and digital media. Additionally, she has served as an adjunct professor of journalism at various universities and has spoken extensively on data visualization, giving lectures and conducting workshops at numerous events such as the Society of Environmental Journalists, Investigative Reporters and Editors, and the World Conference of Science Journalists. Her book, Big Data in Small Slices, encompasses her work in climate, finance, and global health. Her expertise and skills extend beyond the world of data visualization as she is also an accomplished public speaker, professor, and Fulbright Specialist.
