Alexey Berlind

Alexey Berlind is an accomplished event curator, planner, and manager who brings a wealth of experience in various fields including human rights, democracy, transparency, human trafficking, environmental justice, technology, education, and climate change.

With a strong educational background, Alexey studied at Friends Select School in Philadelphia for his High School Diploma, took a Special Events Project Planning Course at UC Berkeley Extension, and pursued a BA in Community Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Alexey has held key positions at the Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley School of Law, serving as the Associate Director and Fellowship Program & Events Manager, as well as previously as the Programs and Events Administrator and Programs Administrator.

His professional journey includes diverse roles such as Bandleader at Viento, The Turnaround jazz trio/quartet/quintet, and Raquel and Bolero y Mas. Alexey has also contributed his skills as an Administrative Coordinator at Zenith Administrators, a Musician and musical director at Princess Cruises, an ESL teacher at Hayward Adult School, and as a self-employed Musician.

Alexey's expertise extends to a broad spectrum of university processes, encompassing contracts, vendoring, transportation, entertainment, HR, recruitment, and reporting, in addition to his event-related responsibilities like research, panel moderation, communications and promotion, and audio/video services.
