Lauren Valdez is an accomplished individual with a diverse background in public health, architecture, and multimedia production. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Master of Public Health, giving her a unique and well-rounded perspective on health policy and the built environment. Lauren has worked as a Training Manager at Forte Labs, as well as a Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley, a Researcher at Small World Social, and a Health Policy Associate at The Greenlining Institute. She has also held positions program managing and coordinating at Global Lives Project and the Center for Health Promotion, respectively.
Lauren has bolstered her experience through many volunteer positions, notably as a Wilmington Health Correspondent at KQED and as a Multimedia Producer and Community Organizer at The Wilmington Wire. She has also served as a research fellow for the Fulbright Program and as an international coordinator for the Office of Polynesian Housing in French Polynesia.
