Birgitta Olson is a seasoned marketing and research professional with over 25 years of international experience in the field. Having held strategic roles in business development, marketing, and communication, Birgitta is passionate about delivering results-driven marketing strategies, consumer insights, and analysis at a global, regional, and country level.
Before embarking on her own consulting venture under Biro Consulting, Birgitta served as the General Manager for the Global Marketing Strategy and Research Teams at Nikon HQ. In this role, Birgitta was instrumental in developing and implementing global marketing and communication strategies with a focus on multicultural teams in Singapore and Tokyo. Her functions spanned global product positioning and innovation proposals, branding, PR, communication, product and technical communication, media, and global digital strategies and projects.
Prior to her tenure at Nikon HQ, Birgitta held leadership roles at organizations such as TRETORN, Ericsson/Mobeon, Adobe Systems Incorporated, and Johnson & Johnson. Under her leadership in marketing and communication at Nikon Europe, Birgitta led the successful development and implementation of Nikon's "I AM" campaign, which won a European Gold Effie Award in 2011. Her passion, expertise, and track record of driving results and innovation in marketing, branding, and consumer and business analysis are highly valued by her peers.
