Director, Global Talent Sourcing

I led the technical talent sourcing team for Walmart, consisting of talent sourcers and talent sourcing researchers, which partnered with our businesses through a functional sourcing model using an agile approach to partnership - discover, design, develop, test.
Accomplishments include:
- Implementation of centralized, functional sourcing model: I developed and implemented an agile, functionally-aligned sourcing model which was eventually adopted and rolled out across the entire TA organization. This included dividing team functions into talent sourcing and talent sourcing research roles to increase quality and quantity of lead discovery and pursuit. Two of the research roles were also specifically designated for diversity initiatives in tech to increase representation at the top of the funnel.
- Development of meaningful sourcing metrics: monthly qualitative and quantitative activity goals for talent sourcers and talent sourcing researchers as well as guidelines for direct sourcing partnership and process to ensure top priorities were covered and work was well documented.
- Championing sourcing and sourcing research as stand-alone functions, not subordinate to recruiting: through cross-company partnership and demonstration of the different, yet complementary nature of sourcing and research roles, Walmart split out talent sourcing as its own separate role within talent architecture.

Accomplishments include:
- Standing up Nike's first TA-centric Market Intelligence and Research team: I established, aligned, and set goals for the new MI&R team, created and implemented productivity and success goals and metrics, and created efficient processes and partnerships through functional alignments
- Leading sourcing resource testing and recommendations: led a TA tools research project team that resulted in investment in three new sourcing resources to be distributed globally

I supported our Platform and Data Services group which encompasses our travel data platform development team (which focuses on RESTful web services and <a href="http://C#/.NET">C#/.NET</a>), our Data and Analytics team (which focuses on ETL,data warehousing, database engineering, BI and analytics, and data visualization), our Data Platform team (which focuses on Hadoop, Hive, Couchbase, Pig and a "cluster" of other things), and our TMC Services team (which focuses on development, sales, and support of our mid-office travel solutions for travel management company partners).

I acted as interim Technical Recruiting co-Lead while we conducted a search for a new Recruiting Manager.

As a contractor, I worked with the Windows Phone team to find engineering types to work on cutting edge mobile technology.

I was responsible for all sourcing efforts for Windows Phone recruiting events to Toronto and Chicago as well as sourcing for a virtual event for women in engineering.

I was the original Editor for SourceCon, on a voluntary basis, beginning in 2007 and was hired by <a href="http://ERE.net">ERE.net</a> to manage the Fordyce brand as well as SourceCon full-time in June 2010.
