Thomas Rieger is a celebrated Professor of Sport Management and Dean of the Faculty of Sports, Media & Event at the University of Applied Sciences Europe in Iserlohn, Germany. He has achieved great feats in his career and has served as the Chairman of EuropeActive's Standards Council from 2012 until 2015. Rieger has extensive education in different fields such as Business Administration, Public Health and Sport Science and has topped it off with a Dr. rer. soc. degree, which is equivalent to a PhD. He has accomplished different projects with well-known brands and institutions, including Fitness First. Since 2008, he has served as a columnist for the leading magazine for health promotion and fitness in Europe - Fitness Tribune.

Rieger is an expert in organizational development, service marketing, individual marketing, and internal marketing in the health, exercise, and fitness sector. He is a member of the European Association for Sport Management, the German Association for Sport Science, and the network Public Health Postgraduates Germany. Rieger's versatility and proficiency have made him an accomplished visiting professor at Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea and European University Cyprus.
