Elena Roberts

Elena Roberts is a dedicated and compassionate third-year M.D. candidate at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, set to graduate in 2023. Her academic journey includes completing a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Duke University School of Medicine in 2018 and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Portland in 2016. Elena is a licensed EMT-Basic in North Carolina, South Carolina, and with the National Registry of EMTs. Prior to her current studies, Elena worked as an Associate in Research at Duke University's Center for Global Women's Health Technologies, where she contributed to clinical research using the Pocket Colposcope, a medical device designed for low-resource settings. She has a strong foundation in team-based problem-solving, holistic learning, and ethical practices, which drive her commitment to continuous education and providing healthcare to underserved communities. Elena's personal experience as a cancer survivor further fuels her dedication to compassionate and competent patient care.
