Peter Gilmer is a highly accomplished and seasoned professional who has held a diverse range of roles, from account management to executive advisory boards, at various organizations all over the world. He earned a BA (Hons) in Marketing and Business Management from Northumbria University, and later, a degree in Strategy & Sustainability from IESE Business School.

Gilmer's experience includes serving as Chief Impact Officer at Web Summit and Senior Advisor at The Lion's Share Fund, among other roles in the organization. He was also Executive Advisory Board Member at Plastic Pollution Coalition and Mentor at Blue Bio Value. Gilmer founded planet:tech at Web Summit in addition to managing and serving as Executive Director at Web Summit / Planet:tech / F.ounders. In the past, he has held positions at Hotpress, ILA School Vietnam, Furst Media, City Channel TV, Rotary Engineering UK Limited, and twenty4help.

Gilmer's expertise spans across various fields, including sustainability, strategy, marketing, and business development, as well as extensive experience with events and public speaking. He has a keen interest in environmental conservation, having served in various organizations working towards plastic pollution solutions and being a former Board Member of Seed Change.
