As a husband, dad, and leader, Sam Hinkie has an impressive background starting with studying finance at the University of Oklahoma and later earning a Master's in Business Administration from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. With an array of experiences before founding his venture firm, Eighty-Seven Capital, including working as a startup helper, Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, and Associate at Pacific Equity Partners, Hinkie eventually became the President and General Manager of the Philadelphia 76ers. Under his leadership, the team underwent an extensive rebuild and mediocrity to eventually become one of the best teams in the league. Hinkie has also worked as a lecturer at Stanford University and executive positions for the Houston Rockets.
