Arlene Martinez is an experienced journalist with a passion for storytelling. She began her career as a staff writer for The Arizona Republic covering breaking news, courts, and government affairs. Later, she worked as a public safety reporter for The Ventura County Star and as a regional reporter for The Sacramento Bee. She has also contributed to various online publications such as Zócalo Public Square and LAist. Arlene's work has been recognized with several awards, including a national Edward R. Murrow Award for team coverage of the Borderline Bar and Grill mass shooting.

Arlene is also a graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
