Sameer Karulkar is a dynamic business leader with over 24 years of experience in various aspects of financial services. He has worked with various global organizations, emerging start-ups, and mid-market/SMEs. His expertise includes cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital investments, investment banking, strategy and new business growth, managing joint ventures, and mentoring young companies.

Sameer's leadership experience includes building and managing profitable new ventures/functions/verticals in established organisations. He has dealt with antithetic situations, unanticipated losses, broken deals, failures and has been able to develop patience and resilience to keep doing better.

He is renowned for guiding teams to realize over $250mn in portfolio exits (+USD30mn during Covid induced lockdown). Sameer's portfolio growth and exits expertise includes developing, originating, and executing exits, both private and public markets. He has invested in close to 90 new investments.

Sameer's illustrious career started with the Mahindra Group in Strategic Sourcing before joining the Haribhakti Group for over 5-years in the corporate finance team, executing valuations, mergers, diligence, and financing projects for their clients.

Sameer holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance, 1st Rank, from Welingkar Institute of Management, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Production Engineering, Distinction, from Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering.

In 2017 he co-founded Coverpage Ventures Advisory LPP, through which he currently functions as a Strategic advisor, leveraging his ‘Skills-as-a-Service’ situationally to a range of stakeholders.
