Konstantin Benyumov
Konstantin Benyumov is a journalist and editor with a background in History and Political Science. He received his MA in History and Theory of International Relations from Lomonosov Moscow State University before pursuing a PhD in Political Science at the Institute for US and Canadian Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences. He has worked for major print and online publications, including Kommersant, RBC Daily, Lenta.ru, and Meduza.io.
At Lenta.ru, Benyumov covered international news, foreign policy, domestic politics, and media as an editor and producer. He later became the Media Desk Editor and resigned along with the rest of the staff after the removal of their editor, Galina Timchenko, in March 2014. Currently, Benyumov is the Chief Editor for Meduza's English website, having joined Lenta's old team in October 2014. He also previously worked as a radio presenter for Radio Voice of Russia and as a broadcast journalist for Russia Today.
