Created and developed Black Girls CODE from a grassroots pilot program in 2011 to an internationally recognized non-profit organization with 15 chapters across the US and in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Designed an immersive computer science technology curriculum and program structure targeting the development of technical skills in girls from marginalized communities aged 6-18.
Initiated a chapter-based program structure in 2012, scaling the initial program model from a 4-week cohort to a distributed program model powered by professional technical volunteers, expanding from 6 to 15 cities, including an international location.
Established an in-school CODE Club program in 2015, implementing a 6-12 week immersive cohort program within after-school programs in Washington, DC, New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, and the Bay Area.
Led the organization in scaling impact and reach, with over 30,000 student participants and the creation of a standing endowment to support future organizational growth and sustainability.
Developed and facilitated strategic partnerships with corporate funders, philanthropic donors, educational institutions, and government agencies, resulting in the organization's revenue growth from less than $200,000 to a surplus of $30M over a ten-year tenure.
Established an alumni program in 2019 to support professional development for program alumni, offering mentorship and career opportunities for college students.
