Chris Akel is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in teaching, recruitment, and management. He holds a Teaching Credential in Education from Loyola Marymount University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Music from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Chris has worked with various educational organizations such as Ramallah Friends School, I Know I Can Summer Academies, Harlem Village Academies, Teach for America, Achievement First, Valor Academy Charter School, and Democrats for Education Reform.

As an IB College Counselor and Theory of Knowledge Teacher at Ramallah Friends School, Chris helps students explore different perspectives and form critical thinking skills. He also previously worked as a Recruitment Manager at both Teach For America and Harlem Village Academies, where he helped build a strong and diverse team of teachers. Chris is passionate about education and believes it is a key driver of social change.
