Having joined Export Development Canada (EDC) in 1998, Joanne has held various roles including Underwriter, Business Analyst, and Sector Advisor, with a focus on sectors like Life Sciences, Plastics & Packaging, and Logistics.

She currently serves as the Director of the Business Connections team at EDC, where she collaborates with Global Trade colleagues to support Canadian companies in their international endeavors through Trade Creation programs.

Joanne De Franco's academic background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Ottawa.
