Lucas Buckland is an accomplished computer engineering professional, with extensive research and industry experience in autonomous and robotic systems. Lucas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from the University of California-Santa Barbara. Lucas has worked with various institutions and companies, including AutonomouStuff, Designated Driver, PolySync, TrackR, UC Santa Barbara, and Mostofi Lab, where he served in various capacities such as Robotics Application Engineer, VP of Engineering, Senior Autonomous Software Engineer, and Lead Firmware Engineer, among others.

Lucas Buckland's expertise is in integrating hardware and software to develop autonomous and robotic systems. He has acquired experience in various aspects, including autonomous navigation, system integration, software development, firmware engineering, and teaching & research. Lucas has worked on projects such as the OSCC Team Lead at PolySync, where he worked on guidance and control systems for autonomous cars, and as the Research Assistant at Mostofi Lab, where he designed algorithms for wireless indoor localization. As the VP of Engineering at Designated Driver, Lucas leads the engineering team in developing unmanned delivery systems for the food and beverage industry.
