Nicholas Hellen is a journalist with extensive experience covering a wide range of topics. He is currently the transport editor at The Sunday Times, where he covers everything from active travel and air pollution to consumer rights and electric cars. Prior to this role, he was the Social Affairs Editor and Cycling Columnist at News UK, and he has also worked as a news editor, media correspondent, and media editor at The Sunday Times, as well as a media editor at The Evening Standard.

Hellen is a well-respected journalist with numerous awards to his name, including the British Press Awards team of the year and the US Public Administration team winner. He has also chaired debates for a variety of organizations, including the Royal Geographical Society and the Westminster City Council, and has given talks for the International Longevity Centre and Common Vision UK.

In addition to his journalism career, Hellen is also an accomplished athlete, having completed an Ironman triathlon and undertaken cycling challenges such as the Raid Pyrenees and Gran Fondo Stelvio. He also has a passion for climbing and history, and has even made the first ascent of Trinity Peak in the Karakoram.
